My husband decided to purchase my engagement ring from Marinelli 3 years ago. He likes to support local, family run businesses. Rich, the owner, has gained our utmost respect and loyalty. He is an honest man who both my husband and I greatly appreciate. We are greatly satisfied with his services and guarantee on his jewlery. He is truely a man of his word!
How does he story end? He replaced the entire diamond ring by ordering an even thicker (better) setting of our choosing and hand picked the new 7 diamond replacements (normally valued at $600 per diamond for replacement). The new ring is arguably better than what we originally brought in and we are grateful we chose a reputable jeweler such as Marinelli's as I question such a good outcome would have happened somewhere else.
I live in the local area but had never visited Marinelli Jewelers until recently. My mom is a Pandora fanatic so I stopped in to get her some Mother's Day beads. The salesperson was very helpful and then asked if I was interested in anything for myself. I had mentioned I was looking for a nice watch but didn't have a big budget. They showed me a couple of really cool Derek Jeter Movado watches. Was a little more then I wanted to spend but it is a great piece. So I walked out with something for my mom and myself. I would recommend them as they are not to pushy but have a nice selection and are good with matching you up with items you will enjoy.
After replacing the diamonds and doing more work on the ring, it turned out to have too many little issues between dings and differences.
Based on the promise to make you happy, I would have to recommend Rich and Marinellis! Thanks for the beautiful new ring, my wife loved it!

He asked for another chance, we gave him it, and we are now VERY pleased. Rich took ownership of the problem, was very professional through the entire process and promised at the end of the day, he would make us happy!
Long story short, we went to pick up the ring and the diamonds had gotten chipped when getting sized (apparently that is a danger in upsizing). Trusting the owner Rich would correct the situation, we gave him the chance.
I live in Orient but recently traveled to Eastport to visit family and stopped at Marinelli Jewelers. I purchased a lovely set of earrings. Very friendly staff and nice selection. I wish they were closer to me but glad to have found their location.
This review is to alert customers that they may not be getting the best service/price.My experiences were far from acceptable. I was told by the son that it was $30.00 to pierce one ear and $50.00 to pierce both ears. I only wanted one ear pierced. When I went back to have my ear pierced by the owner Rich, he charged me $50.00 for the one ear to be pierced. Then I went back to purchase a 1+ carat diamond to make a pair of earrings and wanted to use his advertised coupon of 20% off any jewelry purchase and he would not honor his own ad. Then I had a ring repaired and my repair ticket stated the value of the repair was $0.00 and he charged me $38.00. Then he offered to buy back my gold. I took it somewhere else and got double what he offered. Trust me the customers future is NOT paved with gold, Marinelli's future is paved with gold.
